You may have heard:
- You are a sinner.
- You are going to hell.
- God disapproves of your actions, identity or lifestyle.
You must follow these teachings, pursue this type of career or marriage or be a certain kind of person in order to be loved and accepted by God, the family, the church.
Whether you were involved with fundamentalist Christianity, Mormonism, New Age Groups or another religious, spiritual group or cult, the result often looks similar: shame, guilt, confusion, rejection, and inner criticism which you continue to carry with you.
It doesn’t have to be that way.
